On-site position (Hampton, NH)
SUMMARY: Conduct sales activities within his/her Region with or without Sales Representatives, and to conduct sales support activities through the Home/Corporate Offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. However, other duties may be assigned as required by the North American Sales Manager.

  • Coordinate and participate in on-site customer visits (OEM, CM, Fixture House, Distributors, etc.) with company sales representatives on a regular basis, providing solicitation of orders for the Manager’s assigned Region/Territories within North America.
  • Attend industry Trade Shows or customer meetings, representing the company in in the booth or table-top display as required, for the purpose of promoting QA products, soliciting new orders.
  • Deliver on-site product demonstrations and Sales presentations for the solicitation of orders, communicating directly with customers to promote QA products based on their needs and to address competitive situations as they occur.
  • Continuously inform customers about our Recycle Program in an effort to encourage them to return used gold clad/plated probe materials to QA for a recycling credit to their account that can be used to solicit additional future orders
  • Utilize expense account with prudent judgement.
  • Develop on-site product demonstrations and Sales presentations for the solicitation of orders, communicating directly with customers to promote QA products based on their needs and to address competitive situations as they occur.
  • Gather and provide verbal and/or written details about key customers to the corporate office sales team and management on a regular basis.
  • Continually collect current industry knowledge of competitor products, process equipment, various tester and fixture types, etc. Provide regular feedback regarding competitor activity and potential new product suggestions that could be used to grow QA sales.
  • Generate a projected Sales Budget annually for the upcoming year, to be presented to the management team at corporate sales meetings.
  • Establish a written plan and annual expense budget for the sales/marketing activities related to his/her assigned regions and territories, including trade shows, SMTA meetings, User’s Group meetings, as well as any other related projects.
  • Communicate with QA Corporate personnel the information needed for their application assistance on products complaints, product returns, and evaluation requests.
  • Continuously evaluate the activities and provide feedback to QA Corporate as to the performance of Sales representatives in his/her region/territories. Work with Marketing to initiate new or change existing Mfg. Rep contracts as needed, sign and approve once finalized.
  • Utilize the QA corporate Apps/Product Engineers to present virtual training seminars as needed to help assist and educate prospective and existing customers for the solicitation of orders.
  • Communicate with the Corporate Office to initiate price quotations when requested by the customer. Help in making the final decision regarding what prices to offer any particular customer for standard catalog items and/or for special products.
  • Review of NDA agreements presented by customers - evaluate if these are acceptable or not, working directly with customers to make changes as needed, then signing and sending to the customer once they are agreed upon.
  • Evaluate potential partnerships with 3rd party companies that may allow us to re-sell strategic commercial items to attract new business/market share.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required by the Director of Global Sales.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 6+ years of outside Sales Management experience. Working with Mfg. Reps and ATE Test Fixturing building/supporting experience a plus. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or technical educational equivalent preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good command of the English language is required, as well as ability to communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of the QA corporate office and customer personnel.
