ABOUT THE JOB

Versante Hotel is seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Sales Manager with strong creativity and a “can do” attitude. This position is accountable for assigned market segments and managing client relationships as they relate to sales, revenue management and banquets. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE

  • Hospitality sales experience preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Must be results oriented with a go getter attitude.
  • Effectively able to adopt to rapid changing market and sales environment
  • Effectively able to make decisions and execute sales contracts * Computer literacy (Opera, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Opera an asset.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Positive attitude and supportive, team-based approach towards the attainment of the hotel’s goals.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days.
  • Luxury Boutique hotel experience would be an asset.
  • Richmond/Vancouver hotel sales experience would be prefered
Responsibilities
  • Achieving revenue results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach.
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely and professional manner to customers.
  • Effectively collaborate with other departments especially banquets to capture and service events.
  • Attend pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings as necessary to support the customer event experience.
  • Thoroughly research and understand customer history and previous experiences, in order to create more personalized customer experiences.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of leads at all times that ensures achievement of established revenue targets.
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events.
  • Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections
