SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

  • 6-8+ years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in digital marketing, advertising, or technical services.
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and technical services, with the ability to position solutions strategically.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Experience collaborating with internal technical or marketing teams to develop proposals.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a sales pipeline effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE

War Room is looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our growing team! Reporting to the CRO, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building new client relationships, and positioning our services to meet client needs. This is a new business-focused role that requires a strategic and consultative approach to selling. You will collaborate with technical and marketing teams to ensure our solutions are aligned with client goals. This role offers the opportunity to shape and grow our sales function, with potential for leadership as the team expands.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities through research, cold emails, networking, outbound calls, social media outreach, and other creative outreach methods to generate leads.
  • Client Discovery: Understand prospective clients’ goals, challenges, and needs. Work with internal teams to determine whether you have enough information to proceed or require additional input to create a compelling proposal.
  • Consultative Selling: Make high-level recommendations on how our digital marketing and technical services can drive success for clients. Position solutions strategically and align them with client goals.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as their trusted advisor throughout the sales process. And then drive a warm hand off to the account team.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with technical and marketing experts to develop proposals. Ensure they are tailored to client needs while maintaining alignment with agency capabilities.
  • Sales Process Management: Drive the sales process from prospecting to closing, including managing pipelines, setting priorities, and hitting revenue targets.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the agency’s growth strategy by identifying opportunities for improvement, new service offerings, and market trends.
  • Leadership Potential: Lay the foundation for a future sales team by demonstrating strong leadership and helping define best practices.
