This person’s number one priority is to maximize sales and build long-term, high-value relationships. The Senior Sales Professional is a fashion authority and skilled seller and serves as a key store resource and leader for fashion education and selling techniques. Our Senior Sales Professional provides the highest level of service to clients, assisting them throughout the store with all personal needs. This individual specializes in articulating the unique artistry and value of avant-garde and luxury products. In partnership with the Store Manager, the Senior Sales Professional builds community and personal relationships that drive goodwill and volume. They are the ultimate brand ambassadors. Key Responsibilities: Consistently provides a high-touch, personal experience; strong and consistent follow-up to ensure satisfaction and offer additional service. Services all shopping needs: personal wardrobe, family wardrobe, and gifts. Anticipates needs and proactively reaches out to remind the client of occasions and holidays, and to suggest gifts. Highly knowledgeable about alterations and fit; leverages the alterations service. Expertly utilizes all proprietary clienteling and inventory management tools (e.g., CRM systems) to track client preferences, manage appointments, and drive follow-up sales; utilizes “wish list” with clients to share product likes. Drives omnichannel sales by utilizing all inventory tools (e.g., search and send special orders, and pre-orders) to secure rare or out-of-store merchandise, ensuring a seamless client experience. Proactively seeks out product knowledge and has the confidence to sell luxury products. Proactively identifies and cultivates key clients for exclusive in-store and brand events, leveraging these opportunities to deepen relationships and drive future purchases. Assists the store in acquiring new high-value clients through own personal network & networking. Serves as the sales team leader, sharing skills, selling initiatives, as well as helping onboard and training new sales team members. Actively contributes to and upholds the gallery-like service environment of the store, assisting all clients and maintaining the exceptional service standard across all departments. Key Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage and build rapport with diverse, high-net-worth clientele and internal partners. A self-starter able to set the standard by their own professionalism and attitude. Structured and organized but nonetheless approachable and have a flexible outlook. A results-oriented professional with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of exceeding personal and team sales targets. Being able to work on several tasks at a time. Be capable to work to deadlines/ability to prioritize / optimal time management. Key Requirements: Retail sales and expertise within a luxury business for at least 5 years Specific understanding of the Comme des Garçons aesthetic, consumer, and sub-brands. Previous experience in selling CDG brands beneficial Possession of a proven, verifiable, and active client book with the immediate capacity to generate new business and transfer existing high-value clientele to DSMNY. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
