JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Sales Representative will be responsible for growing YKK’s fastening solutions business across a designated territory or account portfolio. This role focuses on cultivating long-term customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting innovative fastening solutions across apparel, automotive, industrial, and consumer goods markets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or 7+ years of related experience in sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in fastening systems, textiles, industrial components and OEMs
  • Experience in consultative selling and solution-based sales approaches
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license is required
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight travel
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored YKK solutions.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and projection targets, with a focus on profitability and customer value.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new markets and business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals to expand YKK’s presence, especially with key OEMs, brands, and manufacturers.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain deep understanding of YKK’s product lines and applications, providing technical support and recommendations to customers.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and customer insights to inform strategic planning. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates using Salesforce.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, industry leaders, customer service, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to recommend improvements and new product opportunities.
  • Compliance: Comply with YKK’s Compliance Programs including confidential information management guidelines, environmental, quality and health & safety requirements.
  • Other Duties Requirements: Other job-related duties as assigned by management.
