This individual is responsible for driving sales of products and services, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing customers across the industry.
    Britten-Norman Aerospace Ltd is a leading manufacturer and provider of aerospace solutions, specialising in the design, manufacture, and support of the Islander aircraft. We are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Aviation Sales Representative to join our team and support our growth in the UK and international markets.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the aviation or aerospace sector
  • Strong understanding of the aviation industry, including aircraft operations, specifications, and regulatory standards
  • Contribution towards company sales targets
  • Establish strong, trusting relationships with clients by actively listening to their needs, demonstrating empathy, and engaging in meaningful conversations
  • Driven by a strong sense of personal ambition, consistently striving to surpass sales goals through proactive efforts and a results-focused mindset
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience managing complex sales processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong written communication skills to convey information, internally and externally at all levels

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment

  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Ability to achieve a UK security clearance
  • Possible requirement to travel to customer base, potentially at short notice
Responsibilities
  • Drive sales of Britten-Norman products and services
  • Focus on lead generation, market research, and manage a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and open comms channels with viable prospects
  • Build long-lasting client relationships
  • Build a sound understanding of Britten-Norman’s products and services
  • Lead the sales process, including contract negotiations, pricing, and closing deals
  • Request and follow up on quotations for new and pre-owned aircraft
  • Monitor the Sales & Purchase Agreement process
  • Collaborate with leasing partners
  • Maintain accurate sales records, prepare forecasts, and report on sales activity
  • Provide weekly reports to management
  • Identify gaps in sales tools, marketing materials, and the sales process
  • Propose improvements
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Arrange and coordinate aircraft demonstrations
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support
  • Report key successes to the marketing team for internal and external communications
  • Represent Britten-Norman at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events
