The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Senior Salesforce Administrator. Reporting to the Senior Director of User Experience, the Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for balancing business analysis and technical expertise to support fundraising operations through the Foundation’s Salesforce environment, including the Kindsight managed package.
This role will leverage native Salesforce functionality, custom Apex development, and integrations with external systems to deliver results that align with UTFI’s mission.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Business Analysis and Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational and fundraising requirements into effective Salesforce solutions, prioritizing native functionality and strategic customization. Partner with the Business Intelligence Team Lead to support and improve data- driven workflows and reporting. Develop, test, document, and deploy custom Salesforce features, integrations and data migrations. Participate in code reviews, ensuring high quality development practices and the use of appropriate design patterns.
Technical Support and Platform Oversight: Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues affecting the Salesforce environment and related integrations. Serve as technical lead for Salesforce/Kindsight, defining and promoting standards and best practices. Maintain full ownership of the Salesforce/Kindsight ecosystem, including system architecture and data integrations. Collaborate and escalate complex issues to the Senior Director of User Experience, Executive Director of Business Intelligence, and Chief Technology Officer as appropriate.
Platform Optimization and Strategic Planning: Ensure a scalable and high-performing Salesforce environment by monitoring platform functionality and optimization opportunities. Work with UX, BI, and stakeholders to assess and plan for evolving system needs and capacity. Manage and communicate Salesforce/Kindsight release schedules and update cycles.
This position may be designated as on-site, hybrid, or fully remote, depending on departmental needs and the nature of the role.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The candidate who fills the Senior Salesforce Administrator position is required to have:

A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances. In general, any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
Note - Candidates holding a graduate degree must have at least 3 years of experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
In addition to meeting the required qualifications, the preferred candidate will have:
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSRS, T-SQL, SSIS, and Visual Studio; comfort with OLAP, XML, and XSLT
