Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Developer with 12+ years of professional experience and deep expertise in Salesforce development and architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills in Apex, Lightning Components, REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce best practices, with a proven track record in enterprise-level implementations. Local candidates in or near Chicago, IL are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement customized Salesforce solutions using Apex classes, triggers, LWC, Visualforce, and Flows.
Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
Integrate Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and data connectors.
Lead code reviews and enforce development best practices, standards, and security guidelines.
Participate in full application lifecycle development including design, development, testing, and deployment.
Maintain documentation on processes, architecture, and code changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multiple Salesforce orgs and business units.
Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills:
12–15+ years of total IT experience, with 8+ years of strong hands-on experience in Salesforce platform development.
Expertise in Apex programming, LWC (Lightning Web Components), Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL.
Strong experience with Salesforce integrations, data migration, and third-party system interfaces.
Experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Custom Cloud apps.
Good understanding of Governor limits, bulkification, and security model.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Bitbucket).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I & II, App Builder, or Technical Architect.
Experience with Salesforce DevOps, version control (Git), and release management.
Prior work in financial services, insurance, or healthcare domains is a plus.
