Position Title: Salesforce Developer
Location: Mostly remote with occasional travel in the Washington, D.C. area
Position Overview:
InDev is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our elite Salesforce team to build and maintain secure applications for our government clients across the Department of Transportation (DOT). As a Salesforce developer, you will play a pivotal role designing, building, testing and deploying applications on the Salesforce platform. Your expertise will be crucial to our client’s success– all while embracing the Agile mindset to foster innovation and rapid adaptation. You will work in a cross-functional Agile/DevOps team with a lead scrum master and other Salesforce Developers to build new public facing Salesforce apps and provide operations and maintenance support in a fast-paced agile environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Salesforce Architect and government stakeholders, including product owners, to develop solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Flows, Formulas, Flow Orchestrator, Assignment Rules, and Email Alerts
- Build integrations between Salesforce and external applications such as Login.gov and OKTA using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On
- Migrate changes from development, test, and production environment(s) using Continuous Integration (CI) technologies like Jenkins and SFDX commands as well as Change Sets
- Adhere to defined coding standards and develop well-structured, maintainable, and easy to test code
- Maintain effective communication with clients and team members throughout the lifecycle of projects by updating and tracking assigned User Stories in JIRA or other ALM tool
- Perform independent code reviews and write unit/integration test cases to achieve 90% test coverage
- Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system
- Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in Salesforce technology, ensuring the implementation of new features and best practices
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
- 7+ years of development experience with a minimum of 5 years specialized experience developing on the Salesforce platform
- Keen understanding of state and workflow models and how to configure in Salesforce
- Working knowledge of Service Cloud and Digital Experiences Cloud environments
- Experience in additional development languages and formats such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, FTP/SFTP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and JSON
- Experience designing and implementing automated build and deployment pipelines and supporting platform
- Experience using MuleSoft to integrate with Salesforce, including building and managing APIs for seamless data exchange
- Experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions with other applications, APIs and platforms
- Proficient with Lightning Web Components (LWC) framework
- Hands on knowledge and experience working with CI/CD pipelines; including technologies such as Jenkins and GitHub
- Competent with Agile development methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions
- Exceptional communication skills to work seamlessly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Minimum Salesforce Certified App Builder, Platform Developer 1 required
Nice to have’s:
- Experience working in a Federal environment, preferably Department of Transportation
- Active DOT clearance
- Preferred certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II or above
Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and will be required to pass a government background investigation. Candidates with active DOT clearance preferred.
