Job Title Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant PP SD Location Remote Engagement Type Long term contract or full time Multi year program with extension potential Role Overview The Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant will support enterprise SAP environments across ECC and S 4 HANA, focusing on optimization, enhancement, and stabilization of core manufacturing and order management processes. This role requires strong hands on ABAP development experience with close collaboration across functional, data, security, and project management teams. The work is execution focused and supports live production systems rather than greenfield implementations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP solutions supporting Production Planning and Sales and Distribution processes Optimize and refactor existing custom code to improve performance, stability, and maintainability Develop and support RICEF objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, CDS views, and APIs Build and support OData services and backend logic for SAP Fiori and UI5 applications Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs Support integration activities across SAP modules and third party systems Perform root cause analysis, debugging, and production issue resolution Implement secure coding and authorization checks aligned with enterprise standards Document technical designs and support knowledge transfer across global teams Required Qualifications 8 plus years of hands on SAP ABAP development experience Strong experience across SAP ECC and S 4 HANA environments Proven hands on support for PP and SD related developments Solid understanding of manufacturing and order to cash processes Experience with OO ABAP, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and performance tuning Ability to operate independently in complex multi system environments Strong communication skills and experience working with distributed teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, and modern ABAP patterns Exposure to SAP Fiori, UI5, and API based architectures Experience supporting ERP optimization or stabilization programs Manufacturing, automotive, or industrial domain experience Cloud exposure including SAP BTP or hybrid environments Compensation Competitive and based on experience Individual rates evaluated per candidate North Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!
