Position Summary: The Senior SAP Business Objects Developer is responsible for the technical analysis, design, development, and testing of data connections, universes, and dashboards/reports. This individual will have a deep expertise in SAP BusinessObjects tools and a strong command of data modeling, report design, and performance optimization with the ability to mentor junior developers. This role is critical in transforming complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
REQUIRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related field.
- At least 8 years of SAP BusinessObjects development experience.
- SAP Certified Application Professional – SAP Business Objects (required).
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or Power BI preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain Government clearance – must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitivity security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at the time of proposal submission.
Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- Expert-level proficiency in Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Universe Design Tool (UDT/IDT).
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills and experience with SAP or other data warehouse platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and performance tuning techniques.
- Proven ability to lead BI initiatives and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is preferred.
