    We are looking for a Senior SAP Technical Consultant to join our Digital Core & Technologies practice. This role will be embedded in a long-term engagement with a leading automotive client, supporting SAP system enhancements, interfaces, and production stability across logistics, finance, HR, and brand operations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced ABAP developer and interface expert, capable of owning technical deliverables from design through deployment and support.
    This is a 100% onsite role based in Chattanooga, TN

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or an equivalent combination of education and relevant years of experienc

Experience:

  • 10+ years of SAP ABAP technical experience, with deep module knowledge in SD, MM, IM, WM, FICO, and EH&S
  • Strong interface development skills and familiarity with SAP protocols including EDI, RFC, ALE, and BAPI
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including at least one end-to-end implementation
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Data Dictionary, tables, and NetWeaver architecture
  • Experience with ABAP Objects, Web Dynpro, Web Services, User Exits, and BAdIs
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with business and IT stakeholders
  • Exposure to ITIL-based Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes
  • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP ASAP or similar delivery methodologie

Physical requirements:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane
Responsibilities
  • Act as the SAP Technical SME and primary technical contact for support, enhancements, incident management, and audits within the client’s SAP landscape.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ABAP solutions across SAP modules: SD, MM, IM, WM, FICO, and EH&S.
  • Enhance and troubleshoot interfaces using IM3 SAP Interface Manager and SAP global templates.
  • Lead the resolution of performance and production issues, including cross-functional coordination.
  • Perform and support testing activities including unit, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Partner with functional consultants and client stakeholders to translate business needs into effective SAP technical solutions.
  • Drive conformance to global SAP development standards and contribute to technical documentation and project reporting.
  • Support integrations with external systems such as Kronos, Fieldglass, tax platforms, SOA services, and TSIM.
  • Utilize IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) for job scheduling.
  • Contribute to implementation lifecycle activities from blueprint to post-go-live stabilization.
