EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Degree or qualification with relevant work experience.
• Various certifications supporting and demonstrating knowledge of SAP
• Relevant industry certifications highly desirable
• Extensive experience as a SAP developer and senior developer
• Experience with BTP Foundation/Cross Services like SAP Build
• Experience with BTP Cloud Application Programming (CAP)
• Experience with SAP UI technologies
• Experience in Web UI programming skills (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., jQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS etc.)
• Experience with SAP Fiori / SAP UI5 Application development, ODATA, SAP Gateway
• Experience with API management
• Experience in working with SAP Mobile Solutions is a plus
• Experience with SAP BTP Solution Architecture , including full Lifecycle Management.
• Knowledge of current trends in software design, architecture and web technologies
• Some experience in SAP AI, Large Language(LLMs) and/or Machine Learning is a plus
• Experience in working in SAP Delivery Methodologies like SAP Activate and SAP Tools like Signavio and CALM is a plus
• Experience with any SAP Functional Domain is a plus
• Awareness of Accessibility Standards (e.g. WCAG) and Capabilities in SAP UI Technologies is a plus

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

At a very high level the role of the SAP UX Senior Consultant is:

• To be the link between Management and the UX/UI teams actually performing the work.
• Identify all the development and UX/UI inputs required to implement a specific solution landscape.
• Drill-down to the details with the Development, UX/UI , Business and Functional teams.
• Facilitate across project lines, i.e., between various project teams both technical and non-technical.

A successful SAP UX/UI Development Senior Consultant is not “only” an experienced consultant, but also an innovator, strategist, diplomat, consultant, and leader. The consultant will have broad SAP Product knowledge, an awareness of latest development and UX/UI trends as well as have visibility of much of the breadth of the SAP solution. As a leader and consultant, the role will include:

• Understanding that sometimes the biggest problem will not be technical.
• Clear communication and presentation is a necessity at all levels on the project.
• Ability to influence the key players and convince the stake holders.
• Listening, negotiation and networking.
• Expect to communicate across a broad spectrum of user communities - CIO, project managers, UX/UI teams, development teams etc.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Generic Responsibilities:-

• To deliver SAP UX/UI solutions based on business and functional requirements
• Scrutinizes design for UX/UI aspects
• Serves as a focal point for UX/UI issues
• Provides direction on UX/UI standards and guidelines

Specific Responsibilities:-

• Performance assessment and tuning of requirements’ assessment using SAP tools and benchmarks.
• Collaboration with local project teams and partner community on development and UX/UI aspects of projects and requirements.
• Assist SAP teams (pre-sales, support, consulting, resourcing) with aspects related to SAP UX/UI
• Ability to liaise with SAP product, solution and development management teams.
• As part of the next generation tools and game changers at SAP, involved as part of a wider SAP team in driving the SAP’s vision through the SAP ecosystem, leveraging the internal SAP networks.
• Ability to provide estimation for UX/UI solution design requirements when needed
• Ability to organise and facilitate UX/UI related workshops with key stakeholders from both business and technical teams
• Ability to produce high-quality documents and artefacts that are based on SAP methodologies and toolsets
