Description
Senior SCADA Engineer We are seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and long-term success of complex SCADA and BMS solutions. This role is ideal for a highly experienced engineer who brings strong technical judgment, architectural thinking, and leadership to high-impact projects. As a senior member of the team, you will own technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, influence standards, and serve as a trusted technical partner to customers and internal stakeholders. What You’ll Do * Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SCADA/BMS solutions using Ignition, with an emphasis on scalable architecture and maintainable Perspective user interfaces * Own key technical deliverables, including functional specifications, system architecture diagrams, I/O and tag lists, and test procedures * Define, document, and enforce engineering standards for UDTs, templates, naming conventions, and screen design across projects * Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, PR/code reviews, and structured feedback * Diagnose and resolve complex system issues spanning PLCs, field networks, servers, device integrations, and SCADA applications, driving root-cause analysis * Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to align requirements, manage technical risk, and handle change requests * Contribute technical leadership to backlog grooming, effort estimation, proposals, and scope development * Promote and apply cybersecurity, reliability, and high-availability best practices for OT and SCADA environments Qualifications    Experience * 5–8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting SCADA systems, with significant exposure to Ignition or similar platforms * Proven experience leading technical workstreams on complex or multi-site SCADA/BMS projects * Strong proficiency in: * PLC programming and industrial communication protocols * Ignition Designer, Perspective, tag providers, and gateway configuration * Industrial networking and OT cybersecurity concepts * Database integration, including queries, historization, and reporting    Education  * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience * Ignition Gold Certified required This job description is intended to provide information regarding the essential functions and basic duties of this position.
