About the Opportunity Status: Permanent position - 0.6 FTE to Full Time Faculty: Art & Design Commencement Date: Term 1, 2026 Position Location: Burgmann Anglican School, 4 The Valley Avenue, Gungahlin Line Management: This position will be responsible to the Head of Senior School through the Art & Design Faculty Leader and ultimately to the Principal. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver curriculum in your subject area for students in Years 9 to 12 Prepare and maintain quality teaching and learning materials Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to faculty planning Participate in curriculum review and development Engage in professional development activities and whole-school initiatives Build positive relationships with students and families Contribute to the school’s co-curricular program (as required) Support the Christian ethos of an Anglican school Pastoral Care All Senior School teachers are also Pastoral Care teachers. In this role, you will: Lead a Pastoral Care group and build strong, respectful relationships Monitor student uniform, conduct and general wellbeing Deliver the school’s Pastoral Care curriculum Communicate with families regarding academic and pastoral matters Undertake relevant administration and reporting tasks Selection Criteria A relevant teaching qualification and experience teaching Design Technology to Senior School students A passion for effective teaching, learning and an innovative mind set Familiarisation with a variety of workshop machinery and technology (eg. CNC router, 3D printers, lathes, etc) The ability to teach another subject is advantageous (eg.
