WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ A degree or equivalent experience in food science, nutrition, biochemistry, or a related field.
+ Process driven. Proven ability with project management. Able to manage multiple projects, track progress, and maintain high standards of accuracy across technical documentation.
+ Comfortable interpreting data and scientific literature; able to identify meaningful insights from customer trials and product performance data.
+ Able to liaise effectively across departments (e.g., Quality, NPD, Customer Support), and communicate clearly with external stakeholders and Inner Circle members.

OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Application Review: We’ll start by reviewing your CV/application to ensure it’s a good fit for the role.
  • Initial Phone Call (circa 15-20 minutes): You’ll have a brief introductory chat with Ellie, our Talent Partner. We’ll discuss your experience, your career aspirations and explore how your values align with ours.
  • Video Interview (circa 30 minutes): The next step is a virtual interview with the hiring manager, via Google Meet. This will be an introductory conversation featuring experience-based and competency-based questions. It’s also a great time to ask any initial questions you have!
  • Interview Task: You’ll receive a task via email which you can prepare at home. This will form part of the discussion for the in-person interview. This will allow us to get a better understanding of your experience, skills and ways of working.
  • In-Person Interview (60-90 minutes): The final stage is an in-person interview at our Uckfield office. You’ll meet with the hiring manager and one other team member and present your interview task and answer competency questions. This is also your opportunity to ask us any remaining questions.

  • This role requires full time working at our stunning Uckfield/Lewes offices. Please apply only if you’re within a reasonable commute to East Sussex. There will be an option to work from home one day per week after successful completion of your probationary period.

Ancient + Brave is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Senior Science & NPD Assistant to support our innovation and product development functions. You will support our Director of Science and Innovation play a key role in ingredient research and sourcing, quality control support, scientific documentation, clinical and consumer trials and managing key consumer insight channels. This is a dynamic, cross-functional role suited to someone with a background in science, nutrition and product development, with a strong passion for the health and wellness industry.
