Description

Revvity’s R&D Bioproduction department pioneers advanced expression platforms that power the manufacturing of next generation biotherapeutics. Our portfolio includes specialized mammalian host cell lines and our innovative transposon-based expression system, designed to rapidly identify high-expressing recombinant protein clones. Through our gene editing expertise, we deliver custom cell line engineering services that precisely tailor bioproduction cell lines to meet our clients’ specific manufacturing requirements for both protein-based and viral vector therapeutics.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Scientist 2 in our Bioproduction R&D team, you will serve as our vectorology subject matter expert, driving the development of next-generation expression vectors to strengthen Revvity’s Bioproduction capabilities. Your work will shape innovative vector systems designed to improve production efficiency for both protein-based therapeutics and viral vector products.
This lab-based role requires hands-on expertise and deep theoretical knowledge in vectorology, molecular biology, and cell biology for biotherapeutic production.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.Sc. in life sciences with Ph.D. plus minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a relevant scientific discipline (virology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics)
  • Proven track record designing and optimizing expression vectors for both protein therapeutics and viral vector production systems
  • Advanced molecular biology skills, including expertise in diverse cloning methods (Gibson assembly, Golden Gate assembly), PCR, qPCR, and ddPCR
  • Experience applying Design of Experiment (DoE) methodologies to experimental design
  • Hands-on experience with transposon-based expression systems
  • Extensive background in recombinant protein expression methods and in-depth knowledge of mammalian Cell Line Development
  • Exceptional team collaboration skills with strong communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated scientific curiosity with a proactive approach to knowledge development
Join our team and help shape the future of biotherapeutic production technologies at Revvity.
Responsibilities
  • Lead independent research projects from design through execution, analysis, and troubleshooting with meticulous attention to detail
  • Engineer novel expression vector systems optimised for both protein-based therapeutics and viral vector production
  • Develop innovative solutions for challenging vector design problems, including difficult-to-express proteins and complex viral assemblies
  • Mentor junior scientists through training, troubleshooting, and data review
  • Foster collaborative relationships within the team and across Revvity departments
  • Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation and develop standard operating procedures
  • Present clear, concise data at both internal and external meetings
