OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate for this position will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with a focus on cell culture products, including cell and assay-based technologies or reagents.
You’ll have a strong scientific background and project management skills, be comfortable working independently and collectively within a team, and have experience in cell culture - specifically with CHO, HEK and iPSC cells, as well as experience in assay development (ELISA, fluorescence polarization, etc.)
In this role the successful individual will both lead and support various scientific projects related to cell and assay-based technologies, act as a subject matter expert (SME) and collaborate with manufacturing, quality and commercial organisations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years experience within a laboratory based role in an industry setting
- Comprehensive experience in laboratory techniques: Cell Culture (CHO, HEK and iPSCs); Assay development and Reagent development
- Bachelor or PhD level qualification in Biology or related subject
- A proven track record of successful project management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret experimental data using statistical methods and computer software, and understand its application in project development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external audiences
- Excellent organisational and process-driven skills and attention to detail
- Understands and complies with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards and able to support with daily/weekly lab maintenance
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) would also be desirable
