Description ACE Group is seeking a mission-driven Senior Scientist in Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) to support advanced research, modeling & simulation, test and evaluation, and system performance analysis for Navy and joint EW programs at NAS Patuxent River. This position is ideal for a senior technical leader with deep experience delivering high-impact analytical capabilities to defense and intelligence sponsors. Active TS/SCI Required Responsibilities • Lead technical development and evaluation of AEA and electronic warfare capabilities across Navy platforms. • Develop modeling, simulation, and data-driven analysis tools using Python and scientific computing. • Design and execute test methodologies, experiment plans, and performance assessments. • Integrate flight test, laboratory, and HITL data into system evaluations. • Lead and mentor research teams; manage project schedules, finances, deliverables, and reporting. • Engage with NAVAIR, NAWCAD, PMA offices, and DoD stakeholders. • Prepare briefings, reports, and technical documentation. Requirements • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. • 10+ years supporting DoD RDT&E in EW, AEA, M&S, or advanced defense systems. • Demonstrated leadership managing research programs and sponsor communication. • Expert Python and scientific computing abilities. • Experience with statistical analysis, DOE, and time-series or sensor data. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Navy EW/AEA systems, NAVAIR, NAWCAD, or PMA programs. • Familiarity with RF propagation, EA/ES/EP modeling, and mission-level analysis. • Experience in AI/ML robustness testing or autonomy applied to EW systems. • HPC, cloud analytics, or Linux experience.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical development and evaluation of Airborne Electronic Attack capabilities for Navy and joint EW programs. This includes developing simulation tools, designing test methodologies, and managing research teams and stakeholder communications.
