At Amgen, if you feel like you’re part of something bigger, it’s because you are. Our shared mission—to serve patients living with serious illnesses—drives all that we do.
Since 1980, we’ve helped pioneer the world of biotech in our fight against the world’s toughest diseases. With our focus on four therapeutic areas –Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease– we reach millions of patients each year. As a member of the Amgen team, you’ll help make a lasting impact on the lives of patients as we research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines to help people live longer, fuller happier lives.
Our award-winning culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based. If you have a passion for challenges and the opportunities that lay within them, you’ll thrive as part of the Amgen team. Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world.
We have an opening for a Senior Scientist on our Discovery Protein Science team that is located at our Amgen British Columbia site. Our team supports Amgen’s therapeutic discovery pipeline through innovations in protein design and generation while working on diverse and complex biological molecules. This role will specifically involve leading our enzyme engineering efforts around discovering novel therapeutics for rare and genetic diseases. Such efforts will entail the use of directed molecular evolution and rational design, including computational approaches. As part of this effort, quantitative structure-function relationships will also be developed and used to enhance our generative AI capabilities for enzyme and protein design. Furthermore, a major focus of this role will include the implementation of computational design to predict and prevent the immunogenicity of enzymes and other proteins. By contributing to these areas, the successful candidate will fill an important gap at the interface between protein design, enzyme engineering, target discovery, and experimental immunology.
