We are searching for a Senior or Lead Scour Engineer to be a part of the Wood Thilsted team and to support the future development of the company.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
As a Senior/Lead Scour Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to prevent seabed erosion around wind turbine foundations, subsea cables, and offshore substations. We are seeking candidates with a detailed understanding of waves, flows, sediment transport, seabed mobility/ coastal morphology, scour, and scour protection design. Knowledge and capability with specifying scour protection armour types and evolving the design aspects for offshore applications is also required.

You will be able to demonstrate suitable experience of working in a consultancy or similar delivery focused environment and show excellent project management experience. You will be enthusiastic, pragmatic and resourceful. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a flexible attitude and excellent attention to detail and the ability to contribute to and lead research and commercial strategy aims is necessary. Excellent in scripting with Matlab and/or Python tools and with relevant experience of CFD modelling (e.g. OpenFOAM/ SedFOAM) and physical (laboratory) hydraulic modelling is desirable.
