Job Title: Senior Secretary-Treasurer

Job Overview: We are seeking a senior and highly skilled experienced Senior Secretary-Treasurer to join our leadership team. The Vice-President is looking to step back and we are searching for a candidate with specific capabilities to fulfill her duties. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with corporate tax laws, and assisting in the strategic direction of the company’s fiscal health. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate finance, broad knowledge of corporate tax laws, and an ability to fulfill duties traditionally associated with both a company’s secretary and treasurer. The Senior Secretary-Treasurer will collaborate closely with the President to ensure financial integrity, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred, but not required. Preference will be granted to senior candidates with a CA designation.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in corporate finance, accounting, or tax roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of CFO responsibilities, including financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with external auditors, and legal counsel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, time efficiency and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at quickly learning and utilizing various software programs.
