THE OPPORTUNITY

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is looking for an experienced Senior Security Advisor to join the Global Security Team. Applicants will have demonstrated experience in supporting multiple complex security programs with experience in Defence Industry or those with Defence Security backgrounds being highly regarded.
This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley (QLD).

As the Senior Security Advisor at RAAF Amberley, you will:

  • Support Boeing Defence Australia and its customers in the development and implementation of program security requirements, responsibilities and compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and Boeing senior leadership.
  • Develop highly technical security governance products for Boeing assets and facilities.
  • Develop and deliver security briefings and training; and
  • Provide protective security subject matter expertise to programs including the management of high security areas.
Responsibilities
  • Experience working as a Security Specialist in a large Defence Industry prime contractor or with the Australian Department of Defence is essential.
  • Experience managing multiple classified programs or large secure sites and facilities
  • Working knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), ASIO Tech Notes, and security practices and procedures relating to high security locations and programs.
  • Experience in managing Australian Government Classified Information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with the customer, leadership team and all employees.
  • Current Defence Security Officer Course; and
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and hold a minimum NV1 security clearance with the ability to attain Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2)
