SENIOR SECURITY ARCHITECT:

On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Senior Security Architect for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite at our client’s office in either Orillia or Toronto, Ontario.

SENIOR SECURITY ARCHITECT - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This new role involves working on a critical project, focusing on security architecture for IT systems. The project aims to enhance the security measures and frameworks for existing IT infrastructures, ensuring compliance with Ontario’s IT directives and policies.

SENIOR SECURITY ARCHITECT - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 10+ years experience conducting penetration tests.
  • 10+ years experience in source code review.
  • 10+ years experience in report writing.
  • Strong understanding and expertise in security architecture.
  • Knowledge of techniques to secure information assets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to security and confidentiality.
  • Expert understanding of routing and network protocols.

SENIOR SECURITY ARCHITECT – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience in Threat Risk Assessment methods.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Public sector experience.
  • Familiarity with Ontario’s IT directives and policies.
  • Solid knowledge of current security and contingency technology and techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Defines, evaluates, and assesses security architecture requirements for systems environments and IT projects.
  • Develops technical architecture, framework, and strategies to meet business and application requirements.
  • Ensures the incorporation of IT security and contingency measures in system development.
  • Advises and guides projects on security factors, risks, vulnerabilities, and protection of personal privacy issues.
  • Reviews application and program design for adherence to directives, policies, and standards.
  • Analyzes and evaluates alternative technology solutions to meet business problems.
