JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Security Data Architect designs and builds complex relational databases and data warehouses. Works with technical as well as end users to understand business requirements and identify data solutions. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database at an enterprise level. The Senior Security Data Architect has significant experience with the design, development and maintenance of enterprise cloud data services hosted in Azure, GCP, and AWS. Works in conjunction with and may provide leadership and direction to a team of data engineers to meet technical requirements. The Senior Security Data Architect must also have in depth expertise with data security, data modeling, and familiarity with large data storage solutions as well as other complex development tools and frameworks.
The position will serve in a leadership role helping to implement best-in-class data engineering practices and utilize data infrastructure to power analytics and data products in support of the CSO’s mission for information protection across the company. It will enable our company leaders to validate strategic decisions, make smarter choices, and react to the fast-changing world of healthcare.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Preferred
  • Master’s degree Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles Required
  • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Healthcare developing enterprise data-centric solutions Preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, BEHAVIORS

  • Strong knowledge of public cloud best practices and design patterns used in creating, automating, and supporting data pipelines. Required
  • Strong ability to assemble large, complex sets of data that meet functional and non-functional product requirements. Required
  • Strong ability to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including redesigning data platforms for greater scalability, optimized data delivery, and automating manual processes. Required
  • Strong ability to create and use analytical tools to monitor data pipeline metrics and provide actionable intelligence to increase operational efficiency and valuable data outcomes. Required
  • Strong ability to present and facilitate technical ideas. Required
  • Expert ability using source control management tools such as Git/GitHub. Required
  • Expert ability using CI/CD automation tools. Required
  • Strong understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses Required
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and how to apply Agile within the team. Required

  • Must live in/near Greater Nashville, TN Area or be willing to relocate to the area.

Responsibilities
