We are the Apple Service Engineering (ASE) Security team. We are the team that secures the systems and infrastructure that fuel Apple’s services (such as iCloud, Apple Music, Apple Fitness, and Apple TV). We are the foundation on which Apple’s software developers build the products that our customers love. The ASE Security team is looking for a Staff Software Security Engineer to create next-generation security tools and services that safeguard Apple’s ecosystem. You will play a direct role in protecting one of the most trusted and secure platforms in the world. DESCRIPTION This is a highly collaborative role where you will be working with teams across the Security and Engineering organizations to provide meaningful solutions to everyday problems. You'll spend 50% of your time hands-on coding while also architecting complex systems, mentoring engineers, and driving technical initiatives across the organization. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of work experience in software or software security engineering Experience architecting complex, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and leading technical initiatives Experience with third party cloud platforms and operating services in a hybrid cloud environment Highly proficient in Java or Go PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with AI powered coding tools and LLM assisted development workflows
