ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Service and Support Technician is responsible for ensuring the service (maintenance, troubleshooting and rework) of Electronics Equipment at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) site. You will be an integral part of the global integrated team within Electronic Solutions at Rheinmetall Defence to manage the program execution of the LAND 400 Phase 2 Contract with the Commonwealth of Australia and assist with the capture of export markets in the Asia Pacific region.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

• Cert IV in Electronics or Avionics fields;
• Extensive experience in Electronics/ Optics Production or service environment Defence or Defence Industry;
• Experience in the use of electrical/optical test equipment;
• Understands generic electrical architecture (AC/DC), system integration (Analogue and Digital) and Defence electronics systems;
• Resilient in working under pressure and to tight deadlines;
• Extensively used Microsoft Office products;
• The ability to relate generic electronics knowledge to unfamiliar systems for troubleshooting and repair;
• Ability to write work instructions; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
