MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Portfolio with work samples (PDF attachment only, no links).
  • Minimum experience:
  • 2+ years in service design research & outputs.
  • 2+ years in Agile, cross-functional teams.
  • 2+ years working on service transformation including change management.
  • 3+ years facilitating co-design workshops.
  • 2+ years in concept testing & service prototyping.
  • 1+ year usability testing experience.
  • Comparable project size & complexity experience.
  • Criminal Record Check; may require Enhanced or Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Completion of mandatory GoA training (FOIP, cybersecurity, information management, etc.).

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Government of Alberta’s Digital Design and Delivery Division (DDD) is leading service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects to make public services more efficient and user-friendly.
The focus is on human-centred design, service prototyping, and agile delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integrate human-centred design methods into projects.
  • Conduct and analyze user research, co-design workshops, usability testing, and service performance measurement.
  • Create deliverables such as journey maps, service blueprints, process maps, user stories, and roadmaps.
  • Co-design policies and processes to support change management and service transformation.
  • Identify and address gaps in user and employee experience across multiple service channels.
  • Plan integration of new solutions into existing operations.
