Do you have offshore engineering experience and desire to lead major service projects?
We are currently looking for a motivated Senior Service Engineer who will be responsible to perform and supervise service activities (refurbishment, upgrades, preventive maintenance and corrective actions) on MacGregor and equivalent 3rd party equipment.
Our professional team of service engineers ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, accurately and in a friendly manner. In addition to supporting management and the rest of the organization in necessary areas. You will also support Service overall goals and budgets, while ensuring that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards.
Our office and workshop are located in Bergen however the work is performed onboard vessels or shipyards globally, therefore willingness to travel is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining productive team and customer relationships as well as ensuring Best Practices are applied in all service related activities
  • Co-ordinate sub-contracted assignments and report any non-compliance
  • Provide information and write reports as required
  • Delegate work assignments to subcontracted teams
  • Follow and comply all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, report, plan and then conduct service or repair as necessary
  • Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate that to the relevant departments/persons.
