We are now looking for a Senior Service Engineer / Superintendent Engineer to join our competent team, working for a better future.
The office is located in Stord, Norway but you can be based anywhere in Norway.
This position is based on travel rotation, which means that you will be traveling for four weeks at a time with the following four weeks on leave from work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligible for passed Health declaration offshore and for seafarers
  • Good Norwegian and English knowledge both written and verbally
  • Norwegian driver’s license
  • Residence permit in Norway

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

In this position, you will perform and/or lead work related to testing, commissioning, service/troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and automation systems as well as preparing reports and documentation, for our customers world-wide. You will travel globally to where to customers are located with a rotation of four weeks of work and four weeks of leave. As a new member of the team, you will be introduced to Wärtsilä’s products and systems and work closely together with your colleagues during your first term.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Automation or Technical School in the field
  • Vocational certificates within the field and/or documented and relevant experience can compensate for formal education
  • Good knowledge of PMS/EMS (Power/Energy Management System), battery systems, frequency converters, electrical switchboards PLSs, process systems, LNG systems, and HMI systems
  • Experience working with Wärtsilä’s products and systems is an advantage.
  • Experience related to start-up and maintenance of electro-automation systems both offshore and on marine installations
  • Experience with the preparation of reports and documentation
  • Experience with international work and travel activity
