What a Typical Day Could Look Like As a Senior Service Manager, every day will be a dynamic blend of leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise. You'll work closely with Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, and Service Technicians, providing support, training, and motivation to ensure that our residents are always met with exceptional service. You are the Team Leader! Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of your maintenance dream teams, including Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, Service Technicians, and Senior Service Technicians. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs that would make a fortune teller proud, ensuring the long-term value and efficiency of every system and piece of equipment. You are the Operations Pro! Manage the maintenance budgets for your properties with the shrewdness of a Wall Street wizard, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring that your property is a shining example of quality and functionality. You are the Relationship Expert! Work closely with and maintain excellent communication with Community Directors, Regional Facilities Coordinators, and other key stakeholders for all team updates, schedule changes, vendor and inventory invoicing, and more! Requirements Key Skills and Abilities Needed to Succeed in This Role: A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in apartment home repair, including advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair. Proven experience in managing and leading a team of maintenance professionals across multiple properties. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred. EPA and HVAC certifications are required. Must have in-depth knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations. Must have excellent customer service and a positive resident experience focused mentality. Should be able to work a flex schedule if necessary and willing to be on-call for emergencies. Valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.
