THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT TEAM WORKING ACROSS OUR CLINICAL AND PREVENTION SERVICES.

You will be supporting priorities within Herefordshire Health & Wellbeing Strategy and Health Inequality Strategy to bring together a range of clinical & prevention services to provide approaches tailored to meet the needs of different populations and providing an integrated approach to prevention. The role will work closely across neighbourhood teams ensuring that we are engaging with communities to understand how to direct clinical & prevention services to tackle health inequalities to best address that barriers faced by our underserved communities and maximise impact and outcomes for patients.
Prevention is a priority within the NHS 10 Year Plan. Talk Wellbeing is aligned with these priorities, bringing together several prevention services including NHS Health Checks, outreach cardiovascular disease checks, workplace health checks, WorkWell and infectious disease service. As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management and development of these services and leading the way with prevention services for Herefordshire.
This role would suit someone with previous experience of operational management, understanding of health inequalities and working with communities.
The successful applicant will support the operational delivery and development of a range of clinical and prevention services, with a particular focus on our prevention services. The post holder will be required to:
Use population health management to target resources to ensure greatest impact for patients and inform priorities, decision making and transformation.
Understand health inequalities and working with communities to understand barriers, targeting services to address these.
Line management of workforce, including service coordinators, operations administrators, health coaches, social prescribers and provide operational management of clinical staff.
Budget management responsibilities.
Service development.
Collaborative and integrated working across PCNs and VCSE organisations.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

A Senior Operations Manager will have responsibility for the development of clinical & prevention services, working closely with the Associate Medical Director, Associate Director for clinical services, Associate PCN Director for Prevention, Partnerships & Transformation, and other senior management to evolve existing services and model new services.
You will be supporting priorities within Herefordshire Health & Wellbeing Strategy and Health Inequality Strategy to bring together a range of prevention services to provide approaches tailored to meet the needs of different populations and providing an integrated approach to prevention. The role will work closely across neighbourhood teams ensuring that we are engaging with communities to understand how to direct clinical & prevention services to tackle health inequalities to best address that barriers faced by our underserved communities and maximise impact and outcomes for patients.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using population health management to target resources to ensure greatest impact for patients and inform priorities, decision making and transformation
  • To represent the services in cross-organisational meetings when agreed e.g. partner meetings with HGP, the ICB and other H&W wide meetings.
  • Ensure the service compliance with the GDPR and FOI along with other relevant legislation and professional information management standards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance
  • Ensuring that there are robust procedures and staff allocated for safe service delivery.
  • To be responsible for the production of performance and quality reports, including reporting data sets to national and local systems
  • Managing the budget for clinical & prevention services in detail, ensuring that financial targets are met and to escalate concerns to the Associate Director of Clinical Services and Associate PCN Director for Prevention, Partnerships & Transformation.
  • Represent the organisation and Herefordshire PCNs at key system meetings with and on behalf of the Associate Director of Clinical Services and Associate PCN Director for Prevention, Partnerships & transformation to enable the post holder to contribute to the strategic direction of services and lead implementation and operationalisation of service development.
  • Line management of workforce non-clinical staff in your team, including Service Coordinators, Clinical Systems Dispatchers, Drivers / Patient Support, Operations Administrators, Reception Staff, Health Coaches, Social Prescibers and operational management of the clinical staff.
  • Development of KPIs and monitoring key KPIs within month to ensure objectives are on track and to be the first point of contact for operations managers to adjust as needed, escalating to the Associate Director of Clinical Services where appropriate and ensure governance is in place.
  • Attending contractual meetings as required to represent clinical services
    The post holder will work with the operational managers to ensure :
    Delivery of safe services across clinical and prevention services, assisting to influence and facilitate change when needed.
