MIMICO sells, hires and services heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, contracting, construction, recycling and forestry industries. Job Description Due to ongoing growth this newly created Senior Service Technician role based in Central Otago will play a key role in ensuring heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment run at peak performance (Case Construction Equipment, ASV loaders and Dynapac rollers or crushing and screening machinery). Based in the Queenstown/Arrowtown area will be our trusted expert, diagnosing issues, and delivering efficient, high-quality repairs around the region. Key responsibilities will include; Work on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems with precision and expertise. Conduct inspections and services to keep equipment in top shape. Build lasting relationships by explaining repairs, providing recommendations, and delivering exceptional service. Qualifications You’re a Senior Technician with prior experience working on construction equipment, with substantial hands-on diesel engine repair and maintenance experience, other key skills ideally will include: A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic. Substantial hands-on diesel engine repair and maintenance experience Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues across diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components, with advanced use of diagnostic tools and software A valid Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 WTRF is a bonus!).
