MIMICO sells, hires and services heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, contracting, construction, recycling and forestry industries. Job Description We’re on the hunt for a Senior Service Technician who knows their diesel gear inside out. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping a wide range of heavy machinery running, from diesel engines to hydraulics and electrical systems. If you take pride in top-quality work, love getting stuck into tricky problems, and can mentor younger techs along the way, you’ll fit right in. What You’ll Be Doing; Servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Troubleshooting and fixing mechanical and system faults using diagnostic tools. Leading by example, coaching apprentices and junior team members. Keeping customers happy with reliable, honest service. Qualifications Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (or heaps of relevant experience). Solid hands-on experience with heavy machinery and diesel engines. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Valid Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2/WTR/F endorsements are a bonus). Practical, can-do attitude and the ability to work solo or as part of a team.
