Job Description

  • Experienced CSA-holding ServiceNow Developer required
  • 12 months Fixed Term Perm Contract
  • Hybrid work environment. Can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Required
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, CIS HRSD, CIS IRM, CIS ITSM, CIS TPRM, CIS BCM) – Highly desirable

EXPERIENCE:

  • Early to mid career SN specialist with hands-on experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting (server and client side).
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Experience in configuring ServiceNow modules such as (ITSM, HRSD, IRM, ITOM, CMDB, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data modelling, CMDB, and configuration management principles.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for the design, development, configuration, and ongoing support of the ServiceNow platform. This role works closely with platform stakeholders, process owners, and business users to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and maintainable technical solutions within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, IRM, ITOM, TPRM.)
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to understand and document requirements.
  • Design and implement workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations.
  • Develop and manage APIs, data imports, and scheduled jobs.
  • Ensure best practices in ServiceNow architecture, development, and security are applied.
  • Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming and estimation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and enhancement requests.
  • Support platform upgrades and patching activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow Platform Owner and Design Authority to ensure technical governance and compliance.
