ServiceNow Developer & Administrator
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow System Developer to join our versatile and dynamic IT team. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining and enhancing our ServiceNow platform, supporting both legacy systems and modernization efforts. You will play a key part in designing, developing, and optimizing workflows, integrations, and applications to meet business objectives. You will be crucial in supporting and enhancing existing software solutions to ensure our solutions align with business goals.
This role requires someone who is highly skilled in ServiceNow development and administration, has a strong understanding of CSM and associated modules, and is eager to tackle challenges across the full lifecycle of ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a collaborative mindset, capable of wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
o Develop and configure custom workflows, forms, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
o Manage platform upgrades, patches, and overall system maintenance to ensure smooth operation and compliance with ServiceNow best practices.
o Implement and optimize ITSM and CSM modules based on business requirements.
o Analyze, debug, and enhance existing ServiceNow implementations to improve functionality and user experience.
o Refactor and optimize older configurations and customizations, ensuring they align with modern standards and best practices.
o Document and communicate changes to legacy systems to relevant stakeholders.
o Contribute to transitioning from legacy processes and workflows to more modern and efficient ServiceNow capabilities.
o Participate in designing and implementing new solutions, including integrations with external systems, automation, and self-service capabilities.
o Leverage ServiceNow’s latest technologies, Flow Designer and Integration Hub, to modernize the platform.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business Analysts, and business units, to deliver high-quality solutions.
o Provide guidance in best practices for ServiceNow development.
o Conduct code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure team excellence.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the ServiceNow platform.
o Work across various ServiceNow modules and adapt to evolving project needs and priorities.
o Stay updated on ServiceNow’s latest features and updates, proposing enhancements and innovations where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
o Extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), Service Portal, and custom application development.
o Strong understanding of core modules such as ITSM and CSM.
o Proficiency in developing and integrating REST/SOAP APIs within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
o Experience with platform automation tools, including Flow Designer, Business Rules, and UI Policies.
o Strong knowledge of relational databases, CMDB management, and reporting tools.
o Experience in using integration, ERP (QAD), and iPaaS platforms such as Boomi and NetSuite
o Proven ability to analyze and improve legacy ServiceNow configurations with minimal disruption.
o Experience in upgrading and re-architecting older ServiceNow environments to align with modern standards.
