JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a fixed term contract role for the remainder of the 25/26 financial year (ending February 2026). We need an experienced and knowledgeable M365 expert to industrialise the new approach to the Bank’s document and records management system.
The Bank is migrating our document management solution from a legacy toolset to M365, primarily using SharePoint for document management. The Bank will also be using Microsoft Purview extended with a third-party solution Infotechtion i-ARM, hosted in Azure, to meet the Bank’s records management requirements. We are currently in a pilot phase, and the successful candidates will lead the delivery of the solution to the rest of the organisation.
This is an ideal opportunity if you are passionate about empowering people to be more productive and delivering a modern workplace experience at pace. This will be truly revolutionary for the Bank, and an opportunity to quickly leave a lasting legacy on a critical UK institution!

This role is open to flexible working patterns, which include:

  • Job share
  • Flexible start and end time to each day
  • Part time
  • Compressed hours

A 40% in-office attendance requirement can be spread across the month to accommodate diverse working patterns, such as the flexibility to purchase a weekly train ticket for certain weeks.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Embodies our values and is a role model to others, putting diversity and inclusion first.
  • Collaborates well with others, forming effective working relationships with superb communication skills to engage with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Brings a high level of integrity, organisation and self-motivation with a desire for self-improvement to the role.
  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills, empowering others by openly sharing their knowledge and expertise, including crafting concise and informative documentation for IT colleagues and end users.
  • Has good attention to detail.
  • Displays a positive ‘can-do’ demeanour and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Is willing to embrace our Service First culture.
Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE ROLE

A typical day would probably start with the team stand-up meeting where you’ll discuss your workload for the current sprint and seek help addressing any blockers that you face. Next, you’ll likely have some migration work to deliver the new solution for waves of colleagues across the Bank. After that, you’ll draft and raise a change request through the Bank’s formal processes to change or update controls in Purview the following week. If you’re in the office, you’ll grab lunch in the canteen with some of your colleagues. In the afternoon, you’ll tackle a support call from a pilot user who is having issues with saving a document. Once you’ve sorted that call, you’ll document the fix so that other colleagues better understand the service. The rest of the afternoon could be spent doing some research on refining the migration process or working with business analysts to understand business requirements.

Your responsibilities may adapt depending on the needs of the team. These could also include:

  • Engaging with external, 3rd party vendors for support purposes, and ensuring we drive value from our services.
  • Providing training to end-users and internal SharePoint champions on best practices, features, and functionality.
  • Empowering business users to meet their own via migrating their own content or using tools like PowerApps / Power Platform.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and usability of SharePoint environments.
  • Ensuring there is visibility of our solutions, using reporting and monitoring tools.
  • BAU operational support for SharePoint, Teams, and other M365 products. This could include resolving requests, incidents and problems when on support.

This role is open to flexible working patterns, which include:

  • Job share
  • Flexible start and end time to each day
  • Part time
  • Compressed hour
