  • 5 years’ relevant experience in shipping or logistics, preferably in import operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit, BL, customs permits, and trade documentation.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Shipping Executive to manage the end-to-end shipping and import process, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all documentation, regulatory, and operational requirements. You will coordinate with suppliers, banks, transporters, and internal departments to facilitate smooth shipment handling from purchase order to final delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and expedite import shipments from purchase order to final delivery, ensuring compliance with timelines and requirements.
  • Coordinate transportation, customs permits, trade documentation (LC, BL, LOA, DA), and insurance coverage for incoming shipments.
  • Verify, process, and maintain accurate shipping, banking, and supplier documentation in SAP and other records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, banks, insurers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth shipment handling and issue resolution.
  • Manage costing, billing, and payment processes, including Trust Receipts, Term Bills, and port-related charges.
  • Administer insurance claims and follow up with surveyors and insurers until settlement.
  • Prepare and submit monthly import-related reports and maintain meticulous filing of all shipping records.
