Description
As a Senior SI/PI Engineer, you will be the ensuring the high-speed performance and reliability of our next-generation hardware. You will lead the analysis of complex PCB stack-ups, high-speed SerDes interfaces (PCIe Gen 5/6, DDR4/5, Ethernet), and power distribution networks (PDN). Your mission is to bridge the gap between theoretical EM physics and physical hardware manufacturing. Key Responsibilities ● Use Ansys SIwave to perform automated SYZ-parameter extraction for complex, high-density interconnects (HDI). ● Conduct DC IR-drop analysis, AC impedance profiling of PDNs, and decoupling capacitor optimization to meet target impedance goals. ● Define PCB layer counts, dielectric materials and trace geometries to manage impedance and minimize insertion/return loss. ● Use SIwave’s near-field and far-field solvers to identify resonance issues and radiation "hotspots" on the PCB before lab testing. ● Translate simulation findings into actionable routing guidelines (width, spacing, length matching, voiding) for the Layout team. Technical Requirements Looking for 6–7 years of experience Education: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Electromagnetics (preferred). Tool Proficiency: Ansys SIwave: Expert level (Crosstalk, PDN, Virtual Compliance,Solver selection). ○ Ansys HFSS: Ability to perform 3D component modeling (vias, connectors, BGA breakouts) for high-accuracy SI extraction. High-Speed Standards: Deep understanding of DDR4/5 (Read/Write training, Vref) and SerDes (PCIe Gen 5/6, USB4, or 100G Ethernet) specifications. Laboratory Skills: Hands-on experience with high-bandwidth Oscilloscopes (Real-time/Sampling) and TDR for correlation between simulation and measurement.
