We have an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join the nursing team on Towy Ward at Glangwili General General Hospital.
Towy is a 20 bed General Medical ward specialising in Cardiology and Endocrinology Medicine.

Evidence of continuing professional development is essential.
The post holder will provide visible, professional nursing leadership developing the core nursing team in the delivery of compassionate, high quality effective patient centred nursing care.
They will be expected to lead by example empowering the team to maintain patient safety, improve patient care/ experience ensuring high standards of nursing care.
Effective communication skills is pivotal to this role, the post holder will develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with clinical specialists from across nursing and the wider multi-disciplinary team, working in partnership to meet the patient needs.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the use of evidence-based practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, motivated individual, with a desire for professional and personal development within this challenging and rewarding role.
The successful candidate will have experience working within an acute medical setting. The successful candidate will be a senior member of the multi-disciplinary team and will be a key link with service users and the wider clinical teams within Glangwilli General Hospital in leading and supporting service delivery.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
