Senior Site Engineer

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our construction team for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing site operations, overseeing construction activities, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The candidate must be proficient in using AutoCAD for technical drawing review and adjustments, ensuring that designs are accurately implemented on-site.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Project Management, Site Safety, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in site engineering, specifically in high-rise building construction projects.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong experience in AutoCAD for technical drawing review, revisions, and implementation on-site.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for site-specific drawings and adjustments.
• Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Software and Tools Proficiency:
• AutoCAD (required).
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction software like Revit or BIM is an advantage.
• Other Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected challenges on-site.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet project deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Previous experience in high-rise projects and large construction teams.
• Knowledge of advanced construction technologies and sustainable building practices.

• Site Management and Supervision:
• Lead and manage day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that construction work adheres to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Supervise site engineers, subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel to ensure the efficient and safe execution of the project.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth progress.
• Construction Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and implement site-specific construction schedules, coordinating between various trades and ensuring that all activities are completed according to the project timeline.
• Prepare and review daily and weekly progress reports, tracking milestones, material deliveries, and labor usage.
• Ensure effective coordination between suppliers, subcontractors, and workers to ensure continuous work flow.
• Quality Control and Compliance:
• Ensure all construction activities adhere to the approved designs, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and checks to maintain high construction standards and resolve any defects or discrepancies.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Technical Support and Drawings:
• Review and interpret AutoCAD drawings and technical plans, providing guidance to the site team for proper implementation.
• Provide technical assistance and problem-solving for any on-site issues, ensuring that construction methods and materials meet design specifications.
• Prepare or modify AutoCAD drawings, layouts, or construction details as necessary for ongoing site conditions.
• Cost and Budget Management:
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that the construction is progressing within budget.
• Track and document any cost overruns or delays, providing solutions and updates to the project management team.
• Review material and equipment procurement and ensure that they are in line with the project’s requirements and budget.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily site activities, progress, manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to senior management regarding potential risks, delays, or issues.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and project completion documentation.
