Operations / Senior Site Manager
UK Restoration Services is one of the leading specialists in building and structural restoration. Working throughout the UK, we take pride in reinstating the nations-built heritage with a consistently high standard to meet and exceed client expectations.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual to lead and coordinate our in-house teams across our projects with input from pre-construction to completion. Working closely with the contract management team, you will drive operational efficiency through effective planning, coordination and resource management. This is a challenging and varied role with excellent prospects for development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of multi-disciplinary heritage projects including roof works, joinery, lime works, groundworks, consolidation works.
  • Produce Gantt charts with assistance from the Contracts team.
  • Produce weekly/daily task briefs for onsite operatives detailing task/duration/tools/materials.
  • Pre-plan procurement requirements for upcoming works.
  • Assist in the co-ordination and scheduling of sub-contractors.
  • Assist in weekly human resource planning for projects.
  • Take part in regular progress meetings with stakeholders, providing information on progress.
  • Attend sites weekly/as required to ensure tasks are being carried out as per methodology/spec and within set timeframes.
  • Produce and maintain Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and site documentation.
  • Carry out routine quality checks with prompt attention to any arising concerns.
  • Monitor site health and safety.
  • Monitor stock levels of materials and assets.
  • Oversee fleet management.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all required project documentation.
  • Ensure CDM regs and full compliance standards are established and maintained across all sites.
  • Drive operational efficiency through effective planning, coordination, and resource management.
  • Mentor and develop operatives, fostering a safety-first and high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Must have conservation experience, having worked in a management capacity on Grade Listed structures.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction (e.g., NVQ Level 6, SMSTS, IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Proven experience managing construction or building services projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK, working away when required.
  • Proven experience motivating teams and delivering results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional presentation and a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
