D2X is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its office in Amsterdam!

D2X is the first regulated crypto derivatives exchange in a Tier 1 jurisdiction and operational 7-days-a-week. The product listing features cash-settled BTC-EUR and ETH-EUR Calendar Futures and Options (Q2 2025). IN A NUTSHELL

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at D2X, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our low-latency trading platform. This includes managing the scalability, reliability, and security of the trading platform while optimizing performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the trading platform meets business and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability, Infrastructure or Linux Engineer, with at least 6 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure;
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes;
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, or GCP;
  • Experience with scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, PowerShell or Python;
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, load balancing, and network security;
  • Strong understanding of databases and streaming systems such as PostgreSQL and Kafka;
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab or Github Actions;
  • Experience developing and managing monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, AWS Cloud Watch, OpenSearch;Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation;
  • Experience with (and passion) for systems programming language such as C, C++, Rust or Java;
  • Experience with DevOps and SRE practices and Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for our platform services;
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs for scalability, reliability, and performance;
  • Identify and implement best practices for security and data management;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including performance bottlenecks and system outages;
  • Monitor and optimize the platform’s performance, including database performance and resource utilization;
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to ensure rich observability with respect to availability and reliability;
  • Participate in on-call rotations for infrastructure support.
