Reporting To: Sr. Manager, Site Reliability Engineering Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our cloud operations team. This role demands deep expertise across Azure & Az DevOps, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting, with a strong understanding of banking and digital application workflows. The ideal candidate will drive service reliability, security, and modernization across our cloud delivery platforms. Responsibilities & Deliverables: Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following: Key Responsibilities: Service Reliability Ensure 99.99% uptime across all critical cloud services. Strengthen disaster recovery (DR) posture to minimize service disruption. Implement proactive incident prevention and rapid recovery strategies. Enhance system resilience through automation and architectural improvements. Security & Compliance Maintain infrastructure compliance within defined risk thresholds. Minimize vulnerabilities and enforce secure coding and deployment practices. Strengthen Privileged Access Management (PAM) and support audit readiness (SOC, FBA, etc.). Modernization & Automation Reduce technical debt and contribute to modernization roadmaps. Adopt and apply modern architectures and AI-driven automation. Upskill continuously to stay aligned with evolving tech and customer needs. DevOps & Cloud-Ops Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Architect and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Azure best practices. Operate and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads. Drive build and release engineering excellence across environments. AppOps & Workflow Optimization Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring. Understand and optimize banking and digital application workflows. Implement observability and telemetry solutions for business-critical apps. Required Skills & Experience: 5+Yrs-8Yrs Cloud Expertise: Azure Cloud Architecture, Expert Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM templates Containerization: Kubernetes, Helm, Docker Configuration Management: Puppet, Ansible Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python (strong acumen required) OS Administration: Windows (Advanced), Linux (Basic/Intermediate) Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, NewRelic, Grafana, Azure Monitor, App Insights Service Operations: Service Delivery Management, Incident Management, On-call AppOps, Application Uptime. Security & Compliance: PAM, vulnerability management, audit support Domain Knowledge: Banking workflows, digital application lifecycle Soft Skills: Problem-solving, collaboration, communication, ownership mindset Key Metrics & Deliverables: Service Reliability Uptime Target: 99.95% MTTR: Continuous reduction DR Risk Rating: Improved posture and readiness Security Infrastructure Compliance: ≥ 95% Open Vulnerabilities: ≤ defined thresholds PAM Coverage: 100% for critical systems Audit Readiness: Full support for SOC, FBA, NACHA, RCSA etc. Modernization Technical Debt (TD) Reduction: Quantifiable improvements on published TD items.
