Vanderlande are looking for an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to oversee the mechanical and electrical installation activities on their airport projects. You will be reporting to the Site or Construction Manager, leading on-site installation and commissioning of complex baggage handling systems in alignment with the project programme.
You will manage subcontractor teams, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery of all activities. You’ll be the go-to lead on site, coordinating with internal stakeholders (Project Management, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain) and external teams including the client and principal contractor.
Your role also contributes to Vanderlande’s continuous improvement efforts by updating manuals, training guides, and site documentation.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, and control installations. You will guide and train installation teams, inspect and diagnose complex systems, and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Lead and supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Installation teams on both airside and landside operations
  • Interpret and work from E Plan and engineering drawings (layout, location, system operation)
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of complex systems including LV and Siemens PLCs
  • Troubleshoot and inspect mechanical and electrical systems; support I/O commissioning and system integration
  • Conduct and manage quality inspections; ensure installations meet engineering specifications
  • Perform area surveys, support site handover, and maintain documentation
  • Track progress, carry out gap analysis, and propose corrective actions
  • Prepare and present progress reports; participate in project progress meetings
  • Maintain high safety standards on site and deliver regular toolbox talks
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to support field delivery processes and ensure alignment with wider project goals
