About us ERIAS is a boutique strategic environmental and social impact assessment consultancy, specialising in project approvals across the renewable energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors. As our projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, we’re looking for a Senior Social Consultant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys owning complex projects, leading technical work, supporting junior consultants, and helping shape long-term client relationships. What you’ll be doing In this senior role, you will lead or provide high-level input across a broad range of Social Impact Assessment (SIA) projects, including: Acting as Project Manager or technical lead on SIA projects Providing strategic advice, regulatory guidance, and high-quality technical input Liaising directly with clients, regulators, subconsultants, and stakeholders Coordinating and participating in fieldwork programs Identifying risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies Leading or contributing to the preparation, review and delivery of reports, proposals, and technical documentation Managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and quality assurance Mentoring and supporting junior team members in their technical and professional development Supporting business development activities, including maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities in new and existing markets Contributing to broader company initiatives such as systems and process improvements Ensuring compliance with all statutory and company safety requirements What we’re looking for Relevant experience as a social consultant with strong experience in social impact assessment and project delivery Bachelor’s degree in social science, science, engineering or related discipline Graduate studies in specialist discipline and relevant technical training an advantage Proven ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision Strong client relationship skills and stakeholder engagement capability Excellent written communication and document preparation skills Ability to lead, mentor and support junior staff Familiarity with MS Office and general project management tools Willingness to participate in fieldwork in various locations (international and local) Current driver’s licence desirable Who you are You thrive in environments where projects are complex, timelines are challenging, and high-quality work matters.
