The Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit (Brolga) is located in Hornsby. This unit provides a safe and therapeutic environment for 12–17-year-olds experiencing mental health problems. The Social worker will be involved in providing family therapy to complex family systems, with a particular focus on Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) as well as structural and systemic therapies to develop behaviour management plans for the ward. You will deliver and facilitate group therapy, alongside multidisciplinary colleagues and using an interpersonal skillset to make collaborative decisions of consumer-focused care. You will have passion for education training and research and have strong involvement in information management and thorough documentation. As a leader, you will be supported in clinical supervision, and departmental meetings with an emphasis on strategic partnership with external stakeholders and services.
