Our sites and departments are located across the eastern region of Melbourne. This role provides service to our growing, innovative Social Work department at Peter James Hospital. The role is supported by social work team and Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department.  This opportunity is available due to internal staff progression, we pride ourselves on cultivating a culture of learning, growth and improvement.   About you  To be successful in this role you will possess: Eligibility for membership of the AASW Experience in a hospital setting Highly developed interpersonal skills A strong commitment to high quality care The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required Excellent communication and organisational skills Excellent risk assessment skills The ability to lead complex discharge planning Conflict resolution skills   Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). This Grade 3 Social Worker role involves providing services within the growing Social Work department at Peter James Hospital, supported by the social work team and Senior Social workers.
