The Child, Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) Senior Social Worker plays a leading role in the provision of a comprehensive range of assessments and treatments for infants, children & adolescents affected by moderate to severe mental health problems. This is a senior clinical role and includes management of complex cases, and the provision of senior clinical supervision, education and support to Social Work and other allied health clinicians within the service.

The Child, Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) Senior Social Worker plays a leading role in the provision of a comprehensive range of assessments and treatments for infants, children & adolescents affected by moderate to severe mental health problems. They ensure a high quality of social work service and clinical care is provided to consumer, carers and families accessing the service. To take a senior clinical role in the management of complex cases within the service, maintaining a clinical caseload which will involve direct therapeutic work with children / adolescents, their families/carers and other relevant parties.
In conjunction with the Service Manager and Clinical Lead to participate in the review, evaluation and development of clinical service delivery. To provide senior clinical supervision, education and support to Social Work and other allied health clinicians within the service to ensure high quality clinical care provided to all consumers through a range of individual, family-based and group interventions.
