Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Social Worker who is ready for a new adventure. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be based in the Wagga Wagga Mental Health Recovery Unit, a 20 bed sub-acute mental health facility. The unit is primarily targeted at consumers aged 18-65 years, however, admits consumers across the age spectrum. Within this role you will be able to provide, plan and deliver comprehensive, high quality patient care within our Mental Health Recovery Unit. We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join us in this crucial role in the Mental Health Recovery Unit, providing recovery orientated and innovated approaches to care. You will be joining a dynamic multidisciplinary team offering a unique social work service within the 20 bed sub-acute mental health setting. You’ll also be connected to the Mental Health Allied Health team across the Inpatient Units, to provide collegial support and advice. Within the role, you will be provided direct support from both the Mental Health Allied Health Manager and the Recovery Unit Nurse Unit Manager. The unit recognise consumers with mental health issues as experts in their own condition and strives to provide an optimistic and positive approach to care with a focus on collaborative decision making and social inclusion.
